Echidna

The Echidna is a monotreme. These spiny creatures live in the forests of Australia.  Some sub species are extinct.

  • They are known as "Spiny Anteaters"
  • the spines are modified hairs which they can control
  • they live slow and long
  • they are egg laying mammals
  • they are tooth-less
  • they have unusual brains
  • they host the worlds largest flea
  • the baby is called a Puggle

This is a Puggle.

This Echidna is searching for food.

Until next time... "Bye"
